Bacon is one of the most popular foods in the world and why wouldn’t it be. Our dry cured back bacon is extremely versatile, and not only is it the English breakfast must have, but a core ingredient for lots of tasty dishes. These scrumptious rashers are rubbed with a sea salt mix for several days then cured for up to 20 days to allow maturing. This process removes water so that the bacon doesn’t shrink when it’s cooked and it gives you the most awesome flavour. Team these dry cured back bacon rashers with your eggs, sausage, hash browns and whatever else tickles your fancy at breakfast, you won’t be disappointed. Or why not grill or fry your rashers, chop up and add to a salad or pasta dish.

Cooking Instructions

Our Dry Cured Back Bacon can be pan-fried, grilled or oven cooked. If you love your bacon crisped to perfection, we recommend opting for the oven cooked method. To Oven Cook: Line a baking tray with either tin foil or parchment paper and place the bacon in a preheated oven at 200°. Cook the bacon for roughly 15 minutes or until cooked to your taste. To Pan Fry: Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a frying pan until hot (you can also dry-fry if you want a healthier option), add the bacon and cook for 3–4 minutes on each side. If you prefer your bacon crispy, feel free to cook for longer. To Grill: Firstly, preheat the grill to a high temperature and place the bacon on the grill pan and cook for 2–3 minutes on each side. Grilling is a much healthier method of cooking than frying and if you prefer crispy bacon you will get a better result. Once the bacon is cooked, remove from the pan and dab down with some kitchen paper to remove the excess fat.
