Cut from the shoulder, our succulent pulled pork is marinated in a sweet and smoky rub

Brought to us from America, pulled pork has a distinctive flavour that warms the heart…and the stomach. Pulled pork is cooked to slowly at a low temperature to provide a tender meat from what would otherwise be a tough cut of meat. Its tenderness allows it to be pulled, or easily shredded into individual pieces. Our smoky pulled pork is the perfect filling for a hot sandwich or could be enjoyed on its own with a side serving of homemade coleslaw and some chunky hand cut chips. Serve on a brioche bun and finish with a sticky BBQ sauce. Our pork comes from native British pigs, free to roam the pastures and growing at natural rates, which in turn ensures a healthy, tasty meat.

Cooking Instructions

Remove the packaging and place the Pork in a roasting dish, you will need to cover the dish with either a lid or some tin foil. Once the dish is covered, place the pork in a preheated oven and allow the joint to cook for 3-4 hours at 130°. Once this time is up, take the pork out of the oven and remove the lid or tin foil. You will then need to drain away any excess fluid from the dish but be careful, the dish will be extremely hot! Now for the final step – whack the oven up to 150° and cook the pork for a further hour. If you have a probe thermometer you want the core temperature to be 90-95° when removed from the oven after the final hour. When cooked remove the pork from the oven and allow to rest for 10 minutes before shredding. The meat will now be loose and should fall apart easily. All that’s left to do now is to tuck in and enjoy! All ovens and their temperatures vary, please adjust accordingly as the above is a guide only.
