Recipe for the perfect Sunday roast?


Is there such a thing? For some people it would be a roast chicken with vegetables, mash and stuffing. For others it is all about a tender lamb shank, roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and gravy. But one thing’s for sure – the meat makes it.

Opting for red meat such as succulent beef roast joint, rolled lamb saddle or delicious pork leg roast provides a rich base for the any roast dinner, meaning the meat takes centre stage. Add to it a range of vegetables, complementary condiments, such as horseradish for beef, mint sauce for lamb or apple sauce for pork and let the meat do the talking.

Or why not choose a white meat such as one of our free-range roast chickens and create a stand-out roast with all the accompaniments - Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, mash, sausages, or cauliflower cheese – the list is endless.
